I’m in moving purgatory.
Seriously.
My apartment is in absolute shambles while I distractedly move from one thing to the next, packing, sorting, throwing stuff away and then stopping for a few minutes to pout about the general unpleasantness that is moving.
I think it’s pretty much a well known fact that moving blows.
There are just SO MANY THINGS to be done. I have lists started all over my apartment. I have 26 auctions currently up on eBay. I have boxes packed, boxes half packed and boxes not packed at all. I am having a garage sale at Linda’s house and, let me tell you, there is a TON of stuff to be sold. I’m kind of shocked that I actually own that much…
Out with the old, in with the new, right? Or more like out with the old and… out with the old.
Packing for St. Maarten is weird too because I’m only taking an 8th of the clothes I own (if that). It’s odd to only bring warm weather clothes. To never need a sweater or a coat or a scarf…
I also bought my new domain name today. Look for A California Girl in the Caribbean - coming soon!
Ok, off to pack some more…
Also, if you or someone you know is interested in adopting a very sweet, 6 year old declawed and spayed cat, please let me know!

I hate packing!!!! It is the most annoying job! I’ve had the privelege of military moves for the last few….

Yeah packing sucks but unpacking I think sucks worse. When we moved from our apartment to our house a year later we still had boxes in the garage that we hadn’t touch. I tried to donate that stuff but the bf said “Wait I need that” even though A. He didn’t know he had it/or where it was. B. Hadn’t needed it in the last 12 months but all of a sudden when I’m trying to get rid of it he “needs” it. Be grateful you don’t have another person going with you because you can do whatever you want and how you want without someone butting in plus you get to try out some island men. Oh sorry I got a little bitter there at the end…men are annoying!
